Nova TV (Croatia) uses Litepanels
With the help from AVC Zagreb, high-quality Litepanels LED lighting was installed in the news studio of the leading commercial television network in Croatia, Nova TV. After the switch to HD recording it was obvious that an equipment of higher quality than the standard halogen lighting normally used in TV studios was needed. The temperature conditions caused by the dissipation of heat coming from the halogen lighting fixtures were interfering with the news presenters’ work, and were generally causing intense heating of the entire studio and the news-desk area. The heat dissipation and the electrical inefficiency of halogen lighting fixtures were causing an inevitable increase of power consumption, because of both the lighting fixtures and the A/C system. With Litepanels LED lighting Nova TV found a perfect solution for this problem. Soon after the presentation held in AVC offices and the initial testing of the LED lighting fixtures, the employees of Nova TV recognized all the advantages of this system. The Litepanels lighting was tested in the Nova TV news studio and configured by the Litepanels product specialist, Mr. Spencer Newbury. The Litepanels lighting fixtures brought excellent, heat-free lighting.
Miljenko Logozar, technical director at Nova TV, says: “Litepanels LED lighting has definitely lived up to our expectations. No more excessive heating and huge savings in maintenance have created a better working environment for us and, not less important, reduced the power consumption from 18 kW to only 900W, without any negative effect on the environment.“
Alen Lustica, head of the AVC broadcasting and telecommunications department, was very pleased that Nova TV were the first to recognize all the quality features of the Litepanels LED lighting: “Other than its excellent technical characteristics, the Litepanels LED lighting is an eco-friendly, gas-free solution which does not contain mercury or heavy metals, and is free of harmful emissions.“
